Our mission is to provide event stationery for all budgets and styles while maintaining a fun, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. We promise to value each and every customer and our interactions with them, as they are all crucial to our success.
OUR STORY
Paper Persuasions is a locally owned family business and is operated by sisters and Certified Professional Wedding Planners, Stephanie School-Knirk and Stacy School. Since entering the wedding industry, Paper Persuasions has worked with clients and vendors throughout the United States and Canada. In Spring of 2008 and again in 2009 the studio was awarded Fox 8’s Hotlist award for “Best Invitations in Northeast Ohio”.
The business originated in 2005 after Stephanie’s experience shopping for wedding invitations at a stationery store left her feeling less than enthused about her wedding. She decided to make her own invitations and eventually set out to change the stationery industry. Originally called ‘Simple Persuasions’, the company operated out of a spare bedroom of Stephanie’s house. Within a few short months, relocation to a larger space was necessary, resulting in the opening of their storefront/studio on Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls. Six months later, an expansion was again necessary, and the studio was doubled in size at that location. After two very successful years on Front Street, the girls relocated their studio to the Graham Road shopping plaza and changed the name to Paper Persuasions. At that time, they decided to welcome walk-in traffic and expanded their operating hours.
Paper Persuasions has worked hard to obtain product lines and price points that are attractive to all syles and all budgets. By offering a combination of Catalog Invitations (from big names like Carlson Craft and McPherson’s), DIY Kits and Supplies, and their very own Custom Line of Invitations (which are all printed and assembled in house), Paper Persuasions has made an impression in the industry. Their clients all seem to agree: Paper Persuasions is the place to be!
the BIG sister
I bring creativity, impulsiveness, fearlessness, passion and all sorts of scatter-brained qualities to the table. Without my sister, the business would be a mess…but without me, the business would be boring! I grew up in Uniontown but graduated from Copley HS in ‘96. After that I spent many years donating money to Akron U…switching my major a gazillion times until I finally settled on Interior Design/Visual Merchandising. I LOVE fall weddings. My best friend Danielle lives in Arkansas. I am a HUGE Dave Matthews Band fan and just love music and concerts in general. I currently live in Ellet with my husband Dave and our 3 (yes three!) cats – Sissy, Jackson and Bunker. We like to go camping, watch football and have parties in whatever spare time we can find (which is not at all during wedding season!).
THE little SISTER
I bring organization, structure and practicality to the table. Without me, the business WOULD be a mess! I graduated Copley HS in 1999 and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Akron. I currently live in Cuyahoga Falls (love it there!), and look forward to the day I will be designing invitations for my OWN wedding!
